WASTED: Save the Food Festival

2850 Roosevelt Road San Diego, CA 92106 United States

Kitchens for Good and Big Table are bringing back WASTED - a tastemaker event that challenges premier chefs to take food items that would typically be WASTED from their kitchen and re-purpose them into delicious plates.

Enjoy small bites from top chefs focused on reducing food waste, sip on tasty mocktails, and learn about sustainable food practices through fun, interactive activities. Kids can join in with crafts and games that teach about sustainability (kids under 3 do not need a ticket). VIP guests get early entry, access to the VIP Lounge, and exclusive surprises. Don’t miss your chance to vote for your favorite creations!

Join us for a celebration of sustainability, local eats, and supporting those at the heart of the restaurant industry.

Joining us at the WASTED Save the Food Festival are:

  • Chef Amanda Palomino - Kitchens for Good
  • Chef Brian Castillo - McCormick and Kuleto's
  • Chef Davin Waite - The Plot
  • Chef Christina Ng - Berry Good Food
  • Chef William Eick - Matsu
  • Chef Drew Lopez - Prime Chef Collective
  • Chef Daisy Garcia - Continental Catering
  • Chef James Foran - Grossmont College
  • Chefs Jos Egleton, Lena Goldberg, and Violette Lewis - Chef Angels

Proceeds will support Kitchens for Good, a San Diego non-profit organization that tackles issues of barriers to employment and food waste, and Big Table, another local non-profit organization that provides direct care and support to workers in the restaurant and hospitality industry who are facing hardship. When communities work together, even the toughest problems can be solved.

Don't miss out on this chance to make a difference while indulging in some tasty treats.
