(Formerly known as Manassas Educational Foundation, Inc)
The Foundation was incorporated in 1963 and known for being the first all-Negro non-profit educational foundation (The Journal Messenger, Manassas, VA, October 15, 1964). The Foundation has awarded over $200,000 in loans and scholarships to students.
The Foundation is determined to continue being a resource to deserving youth in and surrounding Prince William County, VA.
You are invited to join us at Mae Merchant Exhibit Hall at The Manassas Museum at 9101 Prince William Street, Manassas, Virginia as we celebrate and promote the work of the Foundation. Your participation and support are important in continuing the legacy of Miss Jennie Dean through the Foundation.
